I think it’s possible to love someone and still be curious about someone else. and i think you should be able to act on that impulse with impunity. but in our society, where monogamy rules despite all the evidence that it doesnt work, a person is demonized for wanting to break from that traditional model of relationships. i think you can love someone, truly love someone, and still be drawn to someone else. enough to want to kiss that other person, just to see what it would be like. or maybe to help confirm that what you’ve got is better than what else is out there. because isnt that desire alone a form of betrayal? so what further harm does it do to put those thoughts into action? ideally you would be able just to go back to the person you love after you’ve kissed that other person and discovered it wasnt as interesting as you thought it would be, which i imagine would be the case most of the time. and in the event that it is unexpectedly amazing, isnt it better to have experienced that moment of bliss rather than imagine what it could have been like?

“You know what’s the worst thing about somebody breaking up with you? Is when you remember how little you thought about the people you broke up with and you realize that is how little they’re thinking of you. You know, you’d like to think you’re both in all this pain but they’re just like ‘Hey, I’m glad you’re gone’.”

“I don’t know, I think that if I could just accept the fact that my life is supposed to be difficult. You know, that’s what to be expected, then I might not get so pissed-off
about it and I’ll just be glad when something nice happens”

what hurts the most is that it’s all self inflicted. I really don’t know what to do now.
